# Circular Cooking Stations The Soria Kitchen Packs an Entire Kitchen into a Sleek Silver Island By Michael Hines | Published 2011-04-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soria-kitchen References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/03/31/a-circular-wonder-called-kitchen/) Cooking in a cramped kitchen is the stuff nightmares are made of. There often isn't enough room to maneuver, which means breakfast, lunch *and* dinner often suffer. Vitor Xavier has designed the Soria kitchen precisely to solve this problem. The Soria Kitchen is a [circular kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/savvia) that houses everything you need to whip up a meal and then some, all in one small space. The Soria Kitchen has [four stovetops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igt-phantom-stove), a sink, a cutting board and plenty of cabinets for storage. The Soria has a modern design that won't clash with today's ultra modern metallic kitchen appliances. I am digging this design, but I would like to see a [mini-fridge and stove](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bake-ultra) added to it. Down with the conventional kitchen! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Circular Kitchen Designs:** The trend is to create more efficient and compact kitchen spaces with innovative circular designs. - **Integrated Kitchen Appliances:** The trend is to integrate all the necessary appliances into the kitchen set-up to maximize space and convenience. - **Metallic Kitchen Fixtures:** The trend is to make sleek, modern kitchen designs with metallic finishes and accents. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to design more compact and adaptable kitchens with circular designs. - **Home Appliance:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to integrate more appliances into modular kitchen designs. - **Kitchen Fixtures:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create more versatile metallic fixtures for modern modular kitchens. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Conscious Kitchen Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-kitchen-design.md) - [Compact Kitchen Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-kitchen-furniture.md) - [Freestanding Experimental Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/experimental-kitchens.md) - [Motorized Storage Kitchen Islands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/osta-insel-plus-kitchen-island.md) - [Ai-Powered Recipe-Generating Appliance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kitchen-cosmo.md) - [Revolutionary Cooking System Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magic-cube-cooking-system.md) - [Chef-Designed Outdoor Prep Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everdure-mobile-prep-kitchen.md) - [Vehicular All-In-One Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-kitchen.md) - [Contemporary Smart Cooker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ods.md)
