Still in the prototype stage, the 27 inch OLED TV displayed by [Sony](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bravia-xr-sony) at this week's Consumer Electronics Show 2008 is a big jump from the 11 inch version currently available, which I posted on TrendHunter.com before.

Since the little one sells for $2,500, it's anyone's guess what the 27 inch will set you back.

OLED, or [Organic Light Emitting Diode technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-displays) is something Sony's been perfecting for a while.

**Implications** - Sony's OLED TV is 10mm thin and has a one million to one contrast ratio. The television also has a very fast response time and gorgeous brightness and color emitted from the screen. This amazing TV will surely sell out when it hits stores.
