# Delicate Modern Housewares Something Good's Second Collection is as Decorative as it is Practical By Meghan Young | Published 2014-10-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/something-good References: [coolhunting](http://www.coolhunting.com/design/something-good-milan-design-week.php) & [somethinggood.it](http://www.somethinggood.it/) People may find it hard to use the pieces making up Something Good's second collection of housewares considering how gorgeous each piece is. As decorative as they are practical, dirtying them up with fingerprints let alone actual food items and liquids will seem like something unthinkable. Yet that is the beauty of Something Good's designs. They are meant to be displayed in the home with pride. Comprised of [lanterns and decanters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/juno-collection), [seasoning shakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artisanal-pour-bottles) and more, the second collection of Something Good debuted during Milan Design Week 2014 earlier this year. All made in Italy, the pieces are [playful, colorful](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/afterglow-1) and, in many cases, delicate, which is a quality many will gravitate towards. Especially those living in smaller spaces. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Decorative Housewares:** The trend of blending decorative and practical features in housewares products, promoting stylish and functional homes. - **Delicate Designs:** The trend of incorporating intricate and intricate designs in home decor products, enhancing aesthetics and visual appeal. - **Small Space Living:** The trend of creating compact and multipurpose housewares products to cater to the needs of people living in smaller spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Housewares Industry:** The housewares industry has the opportunity to create more decorative and delicate home decor products that serve both aesthetic and functional purposes. - **Design Industry:** The design industry has the opportunity to cater to people living in smaller spaces with housewares products that are compact and multipurpose. - **Luxury Home Decor Industry:** The luxury home decor industry has the opportunity to create high-end, intricate and delicate housewares products that add value to home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Crystalline Decor Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ensemble.md) - [Minimalist Glassware Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-glassware.md) - [Colorful Elevated Glassware Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-glassware.md) - [Modern Glass Cabinet Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-glass-collection.md) - [Sleek Scandinavian Home Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-little-things.md) - [Wabi-Sabi-Informed Green Glassware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-glassware.md) - [Vibrantly Designed Playful Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hem.md) - [Ultra-Slick Functional Home Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/functional-home-accessories.md) - [Delicate Colorful Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-colorful-vase.md)
