According to survey data from Kayak and [OpenTable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dining-guides), 81% of Americans have dined solo and 70% have traveled solo, prompting the partnering brands to assemble a solo dining guide for travelers.

The co-branded solo travel and dining guide from OpenTable and Kayak shares some of the best domestic and international destinations, must-visit restaurants and expert tips for travelers who want to make the most of adventures on their own. Research also suggests that 52% of Americans plan to dine solo this year but 37% feel stuck when finding inspiration—the biggest barrier to dining solo.

The OpenTable x Kayak guide suggests Washington D.C. as the top destination for solo dining and travel in the United States, and lists Berlin as the top international destination. On the data-driven list, solo travelers will also find recommended restaurants like [Bistro Du Jour](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-golden-flake-tavern) in Washington, D.C. and [Funky Fisch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fast-pickle) in Berlin.
