According to early reports, the start-up already deployed a [production line](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/battery-factory1) for these batteries. The solid-state battery offers better performance compared to its lithium-ion counterpart and already has a capacity of 100MWH per year. The company also stated that the new batteries have an energy density of 400Wh/kg, compared to the 250-300Wh/kg of new generation [lithium-ion batteries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panasonic-energy). Qing Tao Energy Development Co has yet to state what the solid-state battery designs could be used for but it would be safe to assume they would have a great impact on long-range electric vehicles.
