The eco-friendly tram would transport sightseers and skiers gracefully and securely from base to mountaintop and back again. There are [2 seats per pod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toyota-ftme), fitted with safety harnesses, a sliding floor and open sides for fabulous viewing enjoyment. According to The Design Blog, “the sustainable lift moves on two wires, powered by [solar panels on the roof](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-wanda), as double wires give better wind stability and helps in increasing the distance between the towers as well.” Wherever the sun shines for most of the year, the Taiyou Ropeway could be installed for tourists or workers in the mountains or over gorges and canyons. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Solar-powered Cable Cars:** This trend involves the use of solar energy to power cable cars, providing a sustainable and eco-friendly transportation option for sightseers and skiers. - **Eco-friendly Trams:** This trend focuses on the development of eco-friendly trams that prioritize sustainability and provide a comfortable and enjoyable transportation experience. - **Renewable Energy-powered Transportation:** This trend explores the use of renewable energy, such as solar panels, to power various forms of transportation, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources. ### Where This Applies - **Tourism and Hospitality:** The tourism and hospitality industry can benefit from this trend by offering sustainable and scenic transportation options to enhance sightseeing experiences. - **Ski Resorts and Mountain Tourism:** Ski resorts and mountain tourism can take advantage of this trend to provide convenient and environmentally-friendly transportation solutions for skiers and sightseers. - **Renewable Energy and Sustainability:** The renewable energy and sustainability industry can explore opportunities in developing and implementing renewable energy-powered transportation systems, like solar-powered cable cars. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Solar-Powered Sleek Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-solaris.md) - [Harmonious Cityscape Monorails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hk-monorail-concept.md) - [Portable Skiing Rope Tows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rope-tow.md) - [Solar-Powered Autonomous Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polestar-cladrus.md) - [Sustainable Transportation System Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treo.md) - [Eco-Friendly Cafe Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solarpowered-coffee-truck.md) - [Electric Transportation Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-transportation-concept.md) - [Solar-Powered Cargo Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solarpowered-cargo-bike.md) - [Accessible Space Travel Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-elevator-concept.md)
