The [solar panel shingles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/photovoltaic-system1) are touted to be the world's first that can be nailed down without the need for a complicated installation to maximize how or where they can be installed. The panels have a depth of less than a quarter-inch to make them a discreet addition onto a roof. The Timberline Solar Energy Shingle (ES) is constructed with a water-shedding profile that is strong and capable of resisting wind speeds up to 130mph, and can be installed just like conventional shingles.
