Nishino spent months working on these pieces, which he calls diorama maps. The black and white images were made using a collage of over 10,000 [contact sheets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/life-minute-photos). Each set of film comes with a contact sheet listing what photos were printed from what roll of film, which makes it easier to view as opposed to negatives. It took over six months for Sohei Nishino to snap all of the required shots, but the end product proves that [old school photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/back-to-basics-ii) is definitely worth the effort. The photos will be on display at the Festival Des Arts Visuels De Vevey until September 30th. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Collage-like Photography:** Exploring the creative potential of collage techniques in photography, offering new ways to capture and present images. - **Diorama Mapping:** Utilizing diorama-like visuals to create unique and immersive photographic maps, providing a fresh perspective on familiar places. - **Contact Sheet Artistry:** Revitalizing the use of contact sheets in photography, showcasing their artistic value in creating intricate and detailed compositions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art Exhibitions:** Creating immersive art experiences through photography, attracting visitors and fostering engagement. - **Photography Printing:** Enhancing the demand for high-quality printing services to reproduce intricate photographic collages and diorama maps. - **Fine Art Photography:** Inspiring fine art photographers to experiment with collage techniques and diorama-like compositions, opening up new artistic expressions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Travel Photography Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-within-the-detour.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Miniaturized Product Art Photographs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-muji.md) - [Blurry Abstract Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-allusion.md) - [Maze-Like Salt Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-path-of-memories.md) - [Laser-Cut Urban Artistry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-cut-city-maps.md) - [Photography Project Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1.md)
