It is able to illuminate any space with a playful angle. The design studio created the lighting solution to replicate the look of a 'swirly ice cream' and it comes in a series of sorbet-themed colors. Additionally, the Soft Serve lamp is [3D-printed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-lamp-1) and is made with inspiration drawn from sweet goods. Co-founder of Crème Atelier Jacqueline Jessidis notes, “We find that baked goods and desserts have very captivating shapes and forms. We were very intrigued by the creamy organic shapes of meringue and soft-serve ice cream. Soft serve lamp is inspired by the swirly ice creams and we like to compare the 3D printer with an ice cream machine.” Image Credit: Crème Atelier ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 19% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Playful Lighting Design:** Crème Atelier's Soft Serve Lamp offers a playful angle and replicates the look of a 'swirly ice cream'. - **Sorbet-themed Colors:** The Soft Serve Lamp comes in a series of sorbet-themed colors, adding a pop of vibrancy to any space. - **Inspired by Sweet Goods:** Crème Atelier drew inspiration from baked goods and desserts, resulting in the creamy organic shapes of the Soft Serve Lamp. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** The playful design and vibrant colors of the Soft Serve Lamp make it an appealing lighting option for interior designers. - **Home Decor:** The Soft Serve Lamp's unique and whimsical design makes it a standout piece for home decor enthusiasts. - **3D Printing:** The 3D-printed nature of the Soft Serve Lamp showcases the innovation and potential in the field of 3D printing. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colorful 3D-Printed Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-soft-serve-lamp.md) - [Gelato-Inspired Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gelato-lamp.md) - [Sculptural 3d-Printed Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/souffl-lamp.md) - [Pasta-Inspired Curvaceous Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Soft Comfort Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-lamp.md) - [Geometric Nostalgic Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handmaid-table-lamp.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [3D-Printed Mood Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbyt.md)
