Packing a fully functioning fish tank within, the 'Aqua Sofa' is the work of designer Arjun M.M who created the exceptional concept with design and aesthetics in mind. Incorporated with a section for storing magazines and newspapers, the 'Aqua Sofa' would provide a comfortable place to sit, while also helping to increase the ambience of public spaces. When in dimly lit areas, the sofa concept would offer a futuristic, mellow form of illumination. The specially designed fish tank within the design would enable fish to live comfortably in their artificial environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 92% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Public Seating Redesign:** The Aqua Sofa concept reimagines how we think about public seating by incorporating a functioning fish tank. - **Multifunctional Furniture:** The Aqua Sofa is a two-in-one design that offers seating and storage while enhancing the ambience of public spaces. - **Integration of Nature and Design:** The Aqua Sofa concept seamlessly combines the aesthetics of a sofa with the natural elements of an aquarium. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture industry has the opportunity to create innovative seating solutions that integrate unique features like fish tanks. - **Aquarium and Pet Industry:** Aquarium manufacturers and pet stores can explore partnerships and collaborations to create furniture concepts that cater to aquarists and pet owners. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can leverage the Aqua Sofa concept to incorporate natural elements into their designs and create visually appealing spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Cat-Friendly Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quarter-sofa.md) - [Flood-Proof Raft-Inspired Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bliss-sofa.md) - [Cozy Cat-Friendly Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-single-sofa.md) - [Scandinavian-Inspired Floating Daybeds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poolsofa.md) - [Capacious Outdoor Sofa Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/africa-sofa.md) - [Fish Tank-Inspired Japanese Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nao-iwanari.md) - [Built-In Storage Cozy Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cask-sofa.md) - [All-in-One Modular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rezy-sofa.md) - [Modular Inflatable Furniture Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transforming-sofa.md)
