Earlier this year, Instagram added a [slideshow feature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instagram-blend) that now makes it possible for users to upload up to 10 images with a single post. The first issue of FKA twigs' AVANTgarden takes advantage of this format, using a series of images to explore "roots, shock and beauty" through black culture and hair, creating a hybrid of blog and editorial content. Although AVANTgarden has only just been introduced, FKA twigs states that: "I would love to make it into a physical thing eventually, or it can be put in a gallery, or it can be on a website."
