I have hand-picked this selection from an amazing site called LifeIsCarbon which features the best of [Scandinavian design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-design-principles1), art and fashion. The cool Minipod speakers and bass station are produced by Danish design company Scandyna and the amazing ‘Moo Lamp,’ which is shaped as a massive elk’s head, is by a young [Norwegian Lighting company](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeitgeist-20) called [Northern Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxor-light), based in Oslo. Rehti is another group of young designers who want to put their fresh Finnish design on the world map. They have produced the white trees and the little free-standing cupboard unit. Very stylish. And now on to ‘The Swedes’, a design group based in Stockholm. They love white as much as children loves the snow, and have produced the candle holder inspired by a labyrinth, the fruit dish and the book shelves that can be combined in multiple ways. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Scandinavian-style Home Decor:** Opportunity to disrupt the home decor industry with the minimalist and functional style of Scandinavian design. - **Winter White Color Palette:** Opportunity for fashion and home decor industries to embrace this color scheme for a seasonal and stylish look. - **Animal-themed Home Decor:** Opportunity to disrupt the home decor industry with unique and playful animal-inspired designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Companies can incorporate the minimalist and functional style of Scandinavian design to offer a fresh and modern aesthetic to customers. - **Fashion:** Fashion brands can incorporate the winter white color palette into their seasonal collections for a fresh and chic look. - **Lighting:** Lighting companies can create animal-inspired designs like the 'Moo Lamp' to offer unique and playful options to customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tonal Scandinavian Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bang-olufsen1.md) - [White-Tonal Paint Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whitescale.md) - [Scandinavian Themed Modern PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/north-pc.md) - [Elevated Tonal Home Goods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/off-white-2.md) - [Sleek Scandinavian Home Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-little-things.md) - [All-White Contemporary Retail Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/white-is-good-shop.md) - [Natural Beauty-Inspired Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-design-principles.md) - [Snow Mountain Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snowfall-house.md) - [Compact White-Painted Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whitepainted-modern-home.md)
