# Snow Body Prints Lean Into Parked Cars for These DIY 3D Self-Portraits By Tinkalicious | Published 2008-12-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-prints-3d-self-portraits References: [darkroastedblend](http://www.darkroastedblend.com/2008/12/link-latte-92.html) & [2pie.blogspot](http://2pie.blogspot.com/2008/12/snow-prints.html) These images of people’s faces and antics are unbelievably incredible. While they may at first appear to be [intricately carved images](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith) made of freshly fallen snow, these images were produced simply by the “artists” pushing their faces into [fresh powder](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-city-of-harbin) as it settled on the [hoods of cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porsche-labubu-project). What possesses people to think of this in the first place is another story. The impressions are concave in the snow, but in a certain light, the snow imprints take on a 3D effect. Don’t even try to get your head around why this happens. Just appreciate another magical aspect of nature and all its mysteries--and don’t try this at your local mall parking lot. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Graffiti](https://www.trendhunter.com/graffiti) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **DIY 3D Self-portraits:** Parked car snow body prints present an opportunity for individuals to create their own 3D self-portraits using fresh snow and car hoods. - **Intricately Carved Images:** The trend of creating intricate carved images on car hoods with snow allows for unique artistic expressions and potential business opportunities. - **Concave Snow Impressions:** The concave snow impressions on car hoods offer a creative avenue for artists and photographers to capture visually appealing 3D effects. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art:** The art industry can explore the use of snow body prints as a novel form of artistic expression, offering unique pieces for sale or exhibition. - **Photography:** Photographers can experiment with capturing the 3D effect of concave snow impressions on car hoods, adding a new dimension to their portfolio and potentially attracting clients. - **Tourism:** Tourism industries in snowy regions can promote snow body prints as a tourist attraction, encouraging visitors to engage in this fun and whimsical activity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Snow-Constructed Car Showrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polestar-snow-space.md) - [Iced Car Showrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iced-car-showroom.md) - [Snow-Accented Beer Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stella-artois-ads.md) - [Snowglobe-Inspired Dynamic Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/time-to-snow.md) - [Dynamic Car-Themed Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/veiled-porsche.md) - [Drive Through Holiday Activities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-magic.md) - [Human Embraced-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallmounted-sculpture.md) - [Surreal Car Care Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/you-are-how-you-car.md) - [3D-Printed Winter Sport Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bobsled-footwear.md)
