This year's [Snickers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/satisfortunes-for-nfl) Super Bowl ad travels back to 1955 to the set of The Seven Year Itch, where Marilyn Monroe filmed her iconic scene over a NYC subway grate.

The advertisement opens with Willem Dafoe in Monroe's white dress, heels and jewelry, who offers up many complaints about the stunt before a member of the film crew offers him a Snickers bar. After taking a bite of the [chocolate candy bar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snickers-xtreme), Dafoe completely transforms into another person—the true Marilyn Monroe that audiences know and love.

Using old and new [Hollywood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yes-bueno) icons, the commercial effectively supports the brand's 'You're Not You When You're Hungry' campaign. The ad spot also features a cameo from Eugene Levy, who sneaks in at the end to say: "This thing will never make the cut."
