Dilan Manahan, the senior designer at The Young Astronauts who is more widely-known as Dead Dilly, has come up with 'Sneaker Melts.'

Some of the best things in life are combinations: peanut butter and jelly, oreos and milk, bacon and eggs. I realize those are all [food examples](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chipotle-x-nike-air-force-1), but the same logic applies to shoes. So, what if you could pull all of the elements from your [favorite shoes and combine them](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/masha-popova) to create The. Greatest. Sneaker. Ever? This is what Dilly does, sort of. Some of the designs in the project are people's favorite designs "melted" into one. Others are a creative of labor of love from Dilly himself; experiments, if you will.

Dilly's own designs tend to be more [futuristic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-air-max-dn8) -- with such a brilliant mind, he is keen to imagine what the world of athletic footwear will look like in the years to come.
