The original Snake and Jakes has made its way onto Anthony Bourdain's television show and is a hit with such celebrities as Quentin Tarantino and George Glooney, so its no surprise the [southern dive bar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/makers-mark-bourbon) with a cult reputation has a full-fledged homage at [Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-flight) in Manchester, Tennessee. True to the original, the Snake and Jakes incarnation at Bonnaroo is lit with only [strings of red Christmas lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holiday-popup-bar) and plenty of other kitschy holiday decor, creating one of the many unique places for festival goers to experience in between sets. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Festival Dive Bars:** Creating immersive and authentic dive bar experiences at music festivals that pay tribute to iconic venues. - **Cult Following:** Developing brands and experiences that cultivate passionate fan bases and attract celebrity endorsements. - **Kitschy Decor:** Incorporating unique and retro-inspired decor elements in event spaces to enhance the overall ambiance and experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Music Festivals:** Exploring opportunities to create immersive and nostalgic experiences within music festival settings. - **Hospitality:** Creating dive bar-themed establishments and pop-ups that attract both locals and tourists seeking unique and memorable experiences. - **Event Planning and Design:** Providing event planning services that specialize in creating immersive and themed event spaces with unique decor elements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Chain Restaurant Food Festivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chain-restaurant-food-festivals.md) - [Carnival-Themed Restaurant Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angry-crab-shack.md) - [Cozy Neighborhood Warm Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gachot.md) - [Jazz Club Dining Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pollo-lounge.md) - [Peanut-Shaped Mobile Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuttiest-dive-bar.md) - [Spooky Drive-Thru Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boojangles.md) - [Festive Cocktail Bar Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blitzens-bar.md) - [Music Festival Restaurant Activations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daves-hot-chicken-food-truck.md) - [Nostalgia-Inducing Candy Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adventures-in-candy-land-cocktails.md)
