While most people dress their sandwiches with mustard or mayo, others prefer a condiment that will provide a bit of heat. These new chicken sandwiches provide a tasty option for consumers who prefer their dishes on the spicy side. As part of the collaboration with Frank's [Red Hot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utz-cheese-balls), the Tropical Smoothie Cafe has introduced the Island Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the Moho Chicken Club. The Island Chicken Sandwich features grilled chicken, mozzarella, Gorgonzola and a house-made slaw. This sandwich is then smoothed in hot sauce. On the other hand, the Moho Mojo Club is made with bacon, avocado and a zesty mojo sauce. Both sandwiches are served on a toasted brioche bun. The spicy chicken sandwiches are designed to appeal to consumers who prefer spicy over savory. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Gourmet Hot Sauce:** The collaboration between 'Tropical Smoothie Cafe' and 'Frank's RedHot' highlights the trend of using gourmet hot sauce in signature sandwiches. - **Spicy Flavor Fusion:** The Island Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the Moho Chicken Club showcase the trend of combining spicy flavors with traditional sandwich ingredients. - **Heat-seeking Consumers:** The introduction of these spicy chicken sandwiches reflects the trend of catering to consumers who actively seek out spicy food options for their meals. ### Who This Affects Most - **Fast Casual Restaurants:** Fast casual restaurants can explore incorporating gourmet hot sauce into their signature sandwiches to cater to the growing demand for spicier flavors. - **Condiment Manufacturers:** Condiment manufacturers can develop and market gourmet hot sauces that are specifically designed to enhance the flavors of chicken sandwiches and other similar dishes. - **Gourmet Food Delivery:** Gourmet food delivery services can offer spicy chicken sandwiches as part of their menu options to attract heat-seeking consumers who enjoy the convenience of delivered meals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sweet-and-Saucy Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mango-habanero-chicken-sandwich.md) - [Sauce-Smothered Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saucy-chicken-sandwich.md) - [Limited-Edition Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burgerfi-buffalo-chicken-sandwich.md) - [Spicy-sweet Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-honey-hot-chicken-sandwich.md) - [Piquant Crunchy Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sriracha-crispy-chicken-sandwiches.md) - [Saucy Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crave-hot-dogs-bbq.md) - [Spicy Adobo Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kickin-chipotle-chicken-sandwich.md) - [Spicy Chicken Thigh Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mighty-hot-mcspicy-sandwiches.md) - [Piquant Fried Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cluck-sandwich.md)
