Available now for preorder on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fingerbot-sense), 'Gidjit' Beacons' work by being placed in various rooms around your home and tracking your location via your smartphone. The smart sensors communicate with all the various devices in your home -- thermostats, lightbulbs, outlets etc. -- and bring the control to a [single app](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-management-system). This allows users to only see what they can control in the room they are currently in rather than scrolling through numerous apps to find what they're looking for. The 'Gidjit' Beacon' system can be scaled up or down depending on home size or preference for integration into the home environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Beacon Technology:** The rise of beacon technology is transforming the consumer home by enabling location-based tracking and control. - **Smart Home Integration:** The 'Gidjit' Beacon' smart sensors demonstrate the potential for seamless integration of various home devices through a single app. - **Personalized Home Automation:** By tracking users' location, the 'Gidjit' Beacons allow for personalized automation and control of devices in specific rooms. ### Where This Applies - **Retail:** Beacon technology has been widely adopted in the retail sector, offering opportunities for targeted marketing and enhanced customer experiences. - **Smart Home:** The 'Gidjit' Beacon' system presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the smart home industry by streamlining device control and automation. - **Internet of Things (iot):** The 'Gidjit' Beacon' smart sensors highlight the potential for IoT applications in homes, enabling seamless communication between devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Accessible Smart Home Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-smart-home-sensors.md) - [Branded Tech Ecosystem Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-g-spot-tracker.md) - [Environment-Analyzing Home Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultrahuman-home.md) - [IoT-Enabled Driving Safety Beacons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sigfox.md) - [Mobile-Enabled Smart Home Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onvis-door-sensor.md) - [Sleek Compact Tracker Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebblebee-tag.md) - [IoT-Connected Traffic Beacons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traffic-beacon-concept.md) - [Multifunctional Smart Home Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multipurpose-smart-sensor.md) - [All-in-One Smart Home Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqara-presence-multisensor-fp300.md)
