It's tough to do accurately and you have to get out the annoying [measuring tape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comandi) that result in a paper cut at an unreasonably frequent rate. Well, the Smart Finger measuring device is going to change all of that. Place these bad boys on your [fingertips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/picoring) and you've got an instant ruler/tape measure that can both extend farther and measure in tougher spots than a ruler. The Smart Finger measuring device can also record and store measurements, while also [measure volume and area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/measure-tools). Data is displayed via LED screen. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Measuring Devices:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating more advanced and versatile measuring tools for personal and professional use. - **Wearable Technology:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in incorporating measurement tools into wearable devices for convenient and accessible measuring and tracking. - **Internet of Things (iot) for Home Improvement:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating IoT devices that can easily measure and track specific areas of the home for improvement and upkeep. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Improvement:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home improvement industry by incorporating smart measuring devices into DIY products for easier and more accurate projects. - **Construction:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the construction industry by implementing wearable measuring devices for on-site workers to streamline and improve building processes. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the interior design industry by incorporating smart measuring devices into design software for more accurate and efficient floor plan designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Magnetic Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tisolver.md) - [Smart Measuring Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hozos-neorulergo.md) - [One-Button Laser Measures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-laser-measure-pro.md) - [Connected Professional Tape Measures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acegmet-dtx-10.md) - [Digital Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lidar.md) - [Digital Design Desktop Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neoruler.md) - [Magnifying Measurement Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fun-sizes-ruler.md) - [Bluetooth-Connected Tape Measures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/datapro-25.md) - [Rolling Portable Measuring Tapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neorulergo.md)
