Minimalist and modern, it may look like a [typical side table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table), and that's the point. The interesting details behind this furniture piece are conveniently hidden away to allow for a clean and simple aesthetic that will not disrupt the decor of a home or office. Designed by German-based designer André Schelbach for Yomei, the Smart Console Table is rife with [power outlets and wire management](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/discreet-charging-station) in addition to the typical storage space it offers. Lined with velvet, the drawer is the perfect place to rest electronic devices as they are charged. Polished magnets run intermittently through the Smart Console Table to organize wires by feeding them through a metal frame completely invisible to the user. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Furniture:** The trend of minimalist furniture allows for clean and simple aesthetics in homes and offices. - **Smart Home Accessories:** The trend of incorporating smart functionalities into home accessories provides convenience and efficiency to users. - **Wire Management Solutions:** The trend of wire management solutions helps to organize and hide cables for a clutter-free environment. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can explore opportunities to design and produce minimalist furniture with built-in functionality. - **Smart Home Technology:** The smart home technology industry can develop and market smart home accessories that seamlessly blend into the home decor. - **Technology Accessories:** The technology accessories industry can innovate wire management solutions to cater to the increasing number of electronic devices in homes and offices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Subtly Smart Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/etto-table.md) - [Minimalist Modular Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-desk.md) - [Minimalist Tech-Charging Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adap-table.md) - [Splintered Storage Console Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flitter-console-table.md) - [Tech-Rich Bedside Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiinteriors-histand.md) - [Tech-Friendly Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-twins-side-table.md) - [Integrated Charging Hub Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magpower-tables.md) - [Subtle Tech-Infused Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koble-tori-40.md) - [Technology Disconnection Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unhook-table.md)
