With the accompanying Avanti app, you're able to flip through a variety of menus, choosing what beverage you'd like the coffee machine to prepare for you. As well as being able to choose between beverages like an [espresso or a latte](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kaxfree-sf1-max), users are able to go in-depth with each specific drink, telling the machine the strength of the brew or how much to make. When you've stumbled upon a drink that you would happily make again over and over, the app even lets you save it for future reference. Of course, since everyone will want to try making their own custom drink, the coffee machine has a feature that lets you set up a queue of drinks to be made. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Coffee Machines:** Harnessing the power of mobile technology, smart coffee machines like Saeco's GranBaristo Avanti offer customizable drink options and convenient app control. - **App-enabled Beverage Customization:** The use of mobile apps to personalize and control beverage customization is revolutionizing the coffee industry, providing users with greater control over the taste and strength of their drinks. - **Queue-based Drink Preparation:** Coffee machines that support a drink queue feature enable users to easily line up multiple personalized drinks, enhancing efficiency and convenience in home or office settings. ### Who This Affects Most - **Coffee Machine Manufacturing:** The coffee machine manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend of app-controlled coffee machines by integrating smart technology and customizable features into their product offerings. - **Mobile App Development:** Mobile app developers have an opportunity to cater to the demand for beverage customization by creating innovative and user-friendly apps that seamlessly connect with smart coffee machines. - **Hospitality and Food Services:** The hospitality and food services industry can benefit from incorporating app-controlled coffee machines into their establishments, providing customers with a unique and personalized beverage experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [App-Connected Pod Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kcaf-smart-coffee-machine.md) - [Smart Espresso Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delonghi-primadonna-aromatic.md) - [Automated Touchscreen Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-3200-automatic-espresso-machine.md) - [Total Customization Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automatic-coffee-espresso-machine.md) - [Automated Barista Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siemens-eq900-beanident-system.md) - [Intuitive Cafe-Inspired Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-specialty-coffee-maker.md) - [Automated Barista Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breville-oracle-jet.md) - [Open-Concept Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaggiuino-espresso-machine.md) - [Automated Espresso Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boschs-new-line.md)
