# Intuitive Eco-Friendly Chargers This Smart Charger Charges Devices Quickly and Efficiently By Charlotte Joyce Kidd | Published 2015-10-26 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-charger References: [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/evolvedcharger/usbidi-the-worlds-most-intelligent-charger-ever?ref=popular) & [usbidicharge](http://www.usbidicharge.com/) The UsBidi is a smart charger that has multiple innovative features that most smartphone chargers don't. To start with, the UsBidi smart charger can charge phones twice as quickly as most chargers with a 'Smart & Fast Mode.' By tapping the smart charger, users can stop the [background data syncing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/photofast-photopower) on their phone, allowing the device to charge in half the time it normally would. Secondly, the UsBidi smart charger conserves energy and battery durability with an auto-unplug feature. When the phone is left plugged in for longer than it actually takes to charge, the UsBidi will disconnect the power supply, interrupting the charging mini-cycles that most chargers supply even after the phone is at full battery life. This avoids problems like overheating and depleted battery life over time. A couple of other smaller but nonetheless innovative features, like a magnet that allows the charger to stick to any metal surface and a [braided cord](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cable-managements), make this smart charger a life-saver for smartphones. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Faster Charging:** A trend towards smart chargers that can charge devices at twice the speed, offering convenience and efficiency. - **Energy Conservation:** An emerging trend in smart chargers is auto-unplug features that disconnect power supply to avoid battery damage and energy wastage. - **Innovative Features:** Smart chargers with additional features like magnetic capabilities and durable cords are gaining popularity for their convenience and versatility. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Electronics:** The electronics industry can leverage faster charging trends to develop and market innovative smart chargers. - **Energy:** The energy industry can explore partnerships and collaborations to incorporate energy conservation features in smart chargers and promote sustainable charging solutions. - **Consumer Goods:** The consumer goods industry can tap into the demand for smart chargers with innovative features, such as magnetic capabilities, to enhance user experience and differentiate their products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Intentional Disconnection Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/share-power.md) - [Magnetic Charging Innovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro-cable.md) - [Multifunctional Magnetic Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rimfo-charger.md) - [Space-Saving Technology Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magepan-magnetic-wireless-charger.md) - [Display-Equipped Smart Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-charger.md) - [Data-Backup Phone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qubii-power.md) - [Sleek Compact Minimal Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-charger.md) - [Advanced Quad-Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desktop-charger.md) - [Powerful Dual Charging Ports](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dual-usbc-charger.md)
