It works in conjunction with the [Apple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elago-magnetic-stand-for-ipad) Smart Cover to store necessary and miscellaneous objects such as [earphones and chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cable-managements) that are either easily forgotten at home or lost in large bags. The Smart Cargo has a triangular prism shape that the Smart Cover takes on with rolled up. The hollowed out area becomes a convenient container. When attached via 14 magnets, the Smart Cargo provides a good grip when toting the iPad around. When not in use, it can be used as a support for wrists, at least if a person begins typing on the tablet. The Smart Cargo is made out of durable plastic and lined with felt on the inside to protect the gear. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Device Accessories:** The trend of creating innovative accessories for tablets and other smart devices presents opportunities for companies to create unique and practical products, like the Smart Cargo. - **Multipurpose Device Storage:** The trend of combining storage and convenience for smart devices creates opportunities for companies to design compact and efficient storage solutions like the Smart Cargo. - **Magnet-based Accessories:** The trend of using magnets for device accessories creates opportunities for companies to design reliable, secure products that enhance user experience, like the Smart Cargo. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can capitalize on the trend of smart device accessories by designing useful and innovative products like the Smart Cargo. - **Travel and Leisure:** The travel and leisure industry can take advantage of the trend of multipurpose device storage by creating convenient and compact products that enhance the travel experience, like the Smart Cargo. - **Office Supplies and Furniture:** The office supplies and furniture industry has an opportunity to create practical and efficient products that incorporate magnet-based accessories, like the Smart Cargo. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Charging Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/m30.md) - [Portable Tech-Organizing Caddies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellboy-desk-caddy.md) - [Sleek Tablet-Transforming Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elago-magnetic-stand-for-ipad.md) - [Verstaile Tablet Docking Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maghub-3.md) - [Magnetic Tablet Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-folio-for-ipad.md) - [Angular Tablet Protector Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pitaka-magez-folio-2.md) - [Cubic Mobile Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anker-3in1-cube.md) - [Four-In-One Cable Management Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cable-managements.md) - [Adaptable Professional Tablet Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-tablet-stand.md)
