The bedside table functions as an [air purifier and humidifier](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-purifier-table) to optimize the air within a bedroom, while also featuring a [hidden wireless charger](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/discreet-charging-station) built into the top surface. The rear section of the unit can be opened to reveal a low-temperature storage section for placing a few drinks. The conceptual 'Smart Bedside Table' is rounded out with a dedicated UV sterilization compartment for cleaning mobile devices and/or jewelry between uses. A USB hub is built into the system to maximize charging, while lighting and an aroma diffuser further enhance the user experience. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 7.0/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Tech-packed Bedroom Furniture:** Opportunity to transform other bedroom furniture pieces such as dressers or drawers into tech-packed smart furniture solutions - **All-in-one Charging and Storage:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create all-in-one charging and storage solutions for other areas of the home such as living rooms and kitchens - **Smart Home Health:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create smart home furniture solutions that optimize air and promote better health in different areas of the home ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Opportunity to add technological features to traditional furniture pieces, enhancing consumer experience and competing with tech companies - **Home Appliances:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to incorporate additional features into home appliances to create all-in-one solutions for consumers - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create smart home decor solutions with functional features beyond aesthetics ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tech-Rich Bedside Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiinteriors-histand.md) - [Connected Multifunctional Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-sleep-nightstand.md) - [Adaptable Bedroom Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mate-bedside-table.md) - [Minimalist Tech-Charging Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adap-table.md) - [Smartphone-Friendly Bed Frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koble-designs-nodd-smart-bed.md) - [Curvaceous Storage-Focused Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozy-night-stand.md) - [Industrial Floating Bedside Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tu-bedside-table.md) - [Automatic Smart Coffee tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-coffee-table-black.md) - [Tech-Friendly Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-twins-side-table.md)
