# Cloud-Inspired Decor Mobileshadow by Smarin for Daydreaming Indoors or Out By Elsa Blaine | Published 2009-08-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smarin-mobileshadow-daydream References: [3rings.designerpages](http://3rings.designerpages.com/2009/08/05/mobileshadows-by-french-design-house-smarin/) & [smarin.net](http://www.smarin.net/) The Mobileshadow is the dreamy creation of French designer Stéphanie Marin of Smarin. The organic forms can be hung in clusters, from the ceiling to divide a space, or in a window frame. The resulting shadows cast and produced by the [overlapping layers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morgen-screen) make for a relaxing, meditative environment. The [cloud-like designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass-2025-pendants) come in seven different shapes and are made with either an ultra-sheer silk material or, for a more light-filtering effect, 100% linen. They can be displayed either indoors or out. Just imagine yourself lying under a group of these on a breezy day, visualizing butterflies or bunnies in the clouds. Marin is also the designer who has brought us the [Livingstones collection of seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sundae-modular-lounge).
