# Eraser Cube Spaces This Small Rubber Pavilion Looks Out of This World By Vittoria Natarelli | Published 2010-08-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-rubber-pavilion References: [woohome](http://www.woohome.com/architecture/small-pavilion-made-entirely-out-of-rubber) & [zeinstravangelderen.nl](http://www.zeinstravangelderen.nl/) This small rubber pavilion was designed by Zeinstra Van Gelderen Architects and is made completely out of rubber. In order to enter, you must go in through a [vertical slit on one side](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape) of the structure. The house measures 2.3m high, making sure nobody has to crouch! Every element of this house, including the [bench and window frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/missing-room), is made out of urethane resin. This small rubber pavilion looks a little silly, but its tricky medium is truly a testament to the artists' skill in its creation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Rubber Architecture:** Opportunity for architects to explore rubber as a building material and create innovative designs. - **Vertical Slit Entryways:** Designers can create unique entryways that make a bold statement and challenge traditional norms. - **Urethane Resin Design:** Using urethane resin for furniture and décor design can create sleek and modern pieces. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Architects can experiment with new materials and designs to create innovative and sustainable structures. - **Furniture Design:** Designers can create unique and modern pieces using urethane resin. - **Art:** Artists can challenge traditional notions of design and create unconventional pieces like the rubber pavilion. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Glowing Sphere Art Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/netherlands-pavilion.md) - [Tent-Like Exhibition Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bolack-pavilion.md) - [Interactive Public Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radius-transformation-pavilion.md) - [Eucalyptus Wood Curved Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/armadillo-pavilion.md) - [Circus Tent-Inspired Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-circus.md) - [Sustainable Cubic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appels-architekten.md) - [Code-Generated Pavilion Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-orb.md) - [Serene Waterfront Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lake-house-life-experience-pavilion.md) - [Martian-Informed Inflatable Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/martian-house.md)
