From Parisian studio Fabbricabois, the Nidin table is not only a shelter for a small animal, but also acts as a [coffee table and magazine rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-spinning-coffee-table) all in one. The origami-inspired furniture is also self-assembled, offering added fun for the DIY types. The [multi-tasking center table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-transformer-table) is an ideal addition to any living space, especially if the amount of available space is a concern. The whole thing fits together without any bolts, nuts or screws -- just one elastic band is used to keep the entire small pet bed together, which adds an interesting element for those who enjoy home projects as well as geometry. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Opportunity to design more furniture pieces with multiple uses beyond traditional purposes. - **DIY Design:** Opportunity to incorporate self-assembly and customization features in a variety of products. - **Origami-inspired Design:** Opportunity to incorporate unique design elements from origami into furniture and product design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** Exploring new ways to design furniture that serves multiple purposes beyond traditional designs. - **Pet Products:** Opportunity to incorporate multi-functional features into pet products, such as beds. - **Home Decor:** Integrating origami-inspired design elements into home decor items, such as coffee tables and magazine racks. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dog Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-furniture-design.md) - [Curvaceous Abstract Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-table.md) - [Dual-Function Pet Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weelywally-oslo.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Industrial Shapeshifting Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jointable.md) - [Compact Functional Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table.md) - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Cat Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igloo-side-table.md)
