Photographer Tatsuta Tanaka has relied on [daily objects at home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/routines-collection), including a soap dispenser from the [Japanese brand Muji](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/muji-food-market-1), to highlight a series of tiny artworks for the Small Muji show. It is currently on display at [NYCxDesign](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-grounds) 2025, and Tanaka is known for his mini artworks based on the Japanese concept of 'mitate.'

The art reframes objects in a different context so that it take on a new meaning. This is a traveling exhibition which is currently stopping at New York. Muji explains more on the design, stating, "Tanaka transforms Muji products into representations of varied life scenes in this exhibition through a shift in perspective, weaving together a tapestry of life imbued with creativity, whimsy and humour."
