# Small-Space Yoga Homes This Small Home on Wheels was Designed for a Yoga Instructor By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2015-12-04 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-home-on-wheels References: [treehugger](http://www.treehugger.com/tiny-houses/crete-tiny-house-echo-living.html) Echo Living recently constructed this small home on wheels for a yoga teacher who takes up residence on the Greek island of Crete for part of the year. The small prefabricated home was completed in Scotland before it was shipped to the site, alongside olive trees and a picturesque view of the sea. In order to minimize its impact on the environment, the structure required wheels, which also makes it a flexible place to dwell should the need to move arise. The home is completely off the grid, since it is solar-powered and self-sustaining. The home is separated into two distinct spaces—a living area and a bathroom area, which can be accessed from a walkway in between. The inside of the home features all the amenities that could possibly be needed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Small-space Living:** Opportunity to design and build compact, eco-friendly homes that are both portable and self-sustaining. - **Prefabricated Homes:** Opportunity to create modular homes that can be easily transported and assembled in different locations. - **Off-grid Living:** Opportunity to develop solar-powered homes that are completely self-sufficient and don't rely on traditional utilities. ### Who This Affects Most - **Construction:** Opportunity for construction companies to specialize in building small, sustainable homes. - **Renewable Energy:** Opportunity for renewable energy providers to promote solar power solutions for off-grid living. - **Home Furnishing:** Opportunity for furniture and decor companies to create innovative space-saving solutions for small homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Move-in-Ready Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-house-on-wheels.md) - [Ultra-Efficient Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hirondelle-tiny-house.md) - [Solar Powered Compact Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/e55000.md) - [Bohemian Mobile Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-birdy.md) - [Modular Tiny Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vettel-haus.md) - [Sustainable Minimal Compact Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lou-tiny-house-1.md) - [Portable Wheel-Based Green Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-house-of-wheels.md) - [Warm Compact Living](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-spruce.md) - [Sustainable Solar-Powered Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-wanda.md)
