# Floor Blow Dryers Hurricone By Mitch Belfry | Published 2008-04-02 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slip-and-fall-accidents-no-more References: [hurricone](http://www.hurricone.com/) The Hurricone not only warns of a wet floor...it also dries it. An [internal fan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dyson-cool-cf1) blowing all 360 degrees up to 15 feet works on battery power for up to 12 hours on a single charge. This will probably reduce the number of slip and fall lawsuits. **Implications** - Entrepreneurs know that to attain commercial success, they must create an original product that improves on previous versions to address a specific niche. Caution cones, which appear in nearly every commercial building in the world, warn pedestrians of wet floors and hazardous surfaces; unfortunately, the traditional caution cone doesn't do anything to fix the issue. By installing a [360-degree fan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drye-fan) into the cone, this designer is able to augment an omnipresent item in a useful fashion. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **360-degree Floor Dryers:** 360-degree floor dryers, like Hurricone, are a disruptive innovation opportunity for the cleaning and maintenance industry. - **Multi-functional Safety Equipment:** Multi-functional safety equipment, like the Hurricone, is a disruptive innovation opportunity for the safety and security industry. - **Battery-powered Equipment:** Battery-powered equipment, like the Hurricone, is a disruptive innovation opportunity for the technology and energy industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Cleaning and Maintenance:** The cleaning and maintenance industry can benefit from 360-degree floor dryers, like the Hurricone, as a way to improve safety and efficiency. - **Safety and Security:** The safety and security industry can benefit from multi-functional safety equipment, like the Hurricone, as a way to improve safety and response times. - **Technology and Energy:** The technology and energy industry can benefit from battery-powered equipment, like the Hurricone, as a way to provide sustainable and efficient solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Conceptual Hands-Free Hair Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillar-handsfree.md) - [Tubular Bathroom Body Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-spa.md) - [Naturally Inspired Body Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sumsei-air-shower.md) - [Hygienic At-Home Hand Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-towel-hand-dryer.md) - [Mounted Handsfree Hair Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/assist-hair-dryer.md) - [Powerful Sci-Fi Hair Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualmotor-hair-dryer.md) - [Infrared Light Hair Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airlight-pro.md) - [360-Degree Pet Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/homerunpet-drybo-plus.md) - [Handheld Hard Surface Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hard-surface-cleaner.md)
