The fireplace is characterized by its cylindrical tube construction that can be suspended from the ceiling, [mounted on a wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreo-wh517s) or attached onto the floor with a baseplate. This would enable it to be a [focal point in a space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fireplace-designs) or be more of an ambient addition that would offer ample heating for inhabitants. The 'Slimfocus' fireplace is compatible for use with low-energy buildings and makes use of a balanced flue system to draw in air for combustion, while also allowing for quick smoke dissipation. Traditional homes can also be retrofitted with the fireplace thanks to compatibility with open flue systems. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Cylindrical Tube Fireplaces:** Manufacturers in the fireplace industry can explore the trend of creating sleek cylindrical tube fireplaces that offer ample heating for inhabitants and are compatible for use with low-energy buildings. - **Flexible Installation:** The trend of creating fireplaces that can be suspended from the ceiling, mounted on a wall or attached to the floor with a baseplate opens up opportunities in the interior design industry to be creative with the placement and incorporation of these fixtures in living spaces. - **Efficient Combustion Systems:** The use of balanced flue systems to draw in air for combustion and quick smoke dissipation in fireplaces presents opportunities for innovation and disruption in the ventilation and HVAC industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Fireplace Industry:** Manufacturers in the fireplace industry can explore the trend of creating sleek cylindrical tube fireplaces that offer ample heating for inhabitants and are compatible for use with low-energy buildings. - **Interior Design Industry:** The trend of creating fireplaces that can be suspended from the ceiling, mounted on a wall or attached to the floor with a baseplate opens up opportunities in the interior design industry to be creative with the placement and incorporation of these fixtures in living spaces. - **Ventilation and HVAC Industry:** The use of balanced flue systems to draw in air for combustion and quick smoke dissipation in fireplaces presents opportunities for innovation and disruption in the ventilation and HVAC industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Slick Modern Holographic Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holographic-fireplace.md) - [Portable Cylindrical Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecosmart-fire-pillar-3t.md) - [Eco-Friendly Bioethanol Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glammfire-contour.md) - [Mixed-Material Tabletop Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brasscene-harmony-flame-fireplace.md) - [Convenient Personal Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-fireplace1.md) - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [Bioethanol Fireplace Website Debuts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-feu-fires.md) - [Mid-Century-Inspired Wood-Burning Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodburning-appliance.md) - [Flatpack Virtual Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphene-radiator.md)
