# Computing iPod Carriers The Slim PC Features a Built-In iPod Dock By Michael Hines | Published 2011-07-28 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slim-pc References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/07/27/super-slim-pc-and-iphone-dock/) & [designhara](http://www.designhara.com/) The Slim PC is a new compact computer designed by Chang-Su Lee of [Design Hara](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mew-design) intended to save space and eliminate your need for an iPod dock. The Slim PC is about the size of an iPad and has all of the functionality of a big-boy computer for a fraction of the size. The Slim PC has 4GB of RAM, an [Intel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pix-nii) Atom Dual Core D525 ([NVIDIA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xcube-gaming-mini-pc) ION2) processor and has an output of 1080p. All of those specs are nice, but what really catches my eye is the built-in iPod dock. Cramming an iPod dock into a PC is genius and lets companies save money and go green at the same time, as less iPod docks equals less electronic waste. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Compact Computing:** The trend of designing compact computers with reduced size and increased functionality. - **Integrated Features:** The trend of incorporating multiple features, such as built-in iPod docks, into electronic devices to enhance convenience. - **Green Technology:** The trend of developing eco-friendly products that reduce electronic waste and promote sustainability. ### Where This Applies - **Computer Hardware:** The industry that designs and manufactures computer hardware components, including compact PCs with integrated features. - **Consumer Electronics:** The industry that develops and sells electronic devices, including those with built-in iPod docks. - **Sustainability:** The industry that focuses on creating environmentally friendly products and promoting sustainable practices in the technology sector. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable PC Backpack Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-itx.md) - [Ultra-Compact Media PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pix-nii.md) - [Portable High-Power All-in-One PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-mini-pc.md) - [Reliable Mini Pcs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dot-1-mini-pc.md) - [Diminutive Design-Conscious Desktop PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onestudios-p1.md) - [Cubic Palm-Sized PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fusion5-fmp4.md) - [Powerfully Efficient Mini PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-mini-pc.md) - [Cost-Effective Mini PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-it8.md) - [Palm-Sized Desktop PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morefine-m8s.md)
