Created by Trisha Cleveland in collaboration with [Quirky](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fishy-squishy-crusty-quirky), the SlideRider is a suitcase-like storage bin that contains connected mats that can be quickly placed down a staircase to augment it into a slide. The SlideRider is crafted in such a manner that it's able to be cleanly packed back into a relatively [compact box when not in use](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/split-1). Everything from the soft slide base to the support side panels fold conveniently in or out of form with the SlideRider to make it not only an [awesome toy for kids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birddy), but also something that can be transported. Here's hoping your home has two staircases or else you might have little ones breaking the cardinal rule and climbing back up the slide to have another go. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Portable Slides:** The SlideRider showcases the trend of portable slides that can be easily set up and packed away. - **Transformative Playgrounds:** The SlideRider represents the trend of transforming regular staircases into exciting playgrounds for kids. - **Compact Toy Storage:** The SlideRider demonstrates the trend of compact toy storage solutions that are easy to transport. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Children's Toy Industry:** The SlideRider offers disruptive innovation opportunities for the children's toy industry by combining a slide and portable storage in one product. - **Home Improvement Industry:** The SlideRider opens up disruptive innovation possibilities for the home improvement industry to create products that transform any staircase into a fun playground feature. - **Travel and Leisure Industry:** The SlideRider presents opportunities for the travel and leisure industry to offer innovative products that cater to families on the go, providing entertainment for children while traveling. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contemporary Playroom Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/randle-wall-climbing-handle.md) - [Convertible Kids Ladder Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/convertible-helper-tower.md) - [Stroller-Equipped Suitcase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-journey-suitcase.md) - [Transforming Child Stool Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipflap-childrens-chair.md) - [Stroller-Equipped Suitcase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-journey-travel-case.md) - [Seamless Pet Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawstairs.md) - [Retrofittable Stroller-Accessory Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easyway.md) - [Snow Scooter Conversion Kit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-scooter-conversion.md) - [Elevated Leisure Habitats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-leisure-habitat.md)
