These sorts of pieces make their presence and function known in the room and designers take the opportunity to render them as [objects of beauty](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin). Dario Cavaliere of Rome has conceived two basins that depart from the usual symmetrical treatment of such pieces, opting instead for one rectilinear design and one oval one, each with a significant slant to its base. The computer models depict the off-centered installation of faucets as well so that the running water washes across more of the porcelain surfaces before reaching a drain. Of the Slide + Noah sinks, the first cleverly incorporates a [towel rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luneup) and the second takes a boat shape, inspired by Noah's arc. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Independent Bathroom Countertop Bowls:** Independent bathroom countertop bowls are gaining popularity as a focal point of beauty in the household washroom. - **Sculptural Bathroom Sinks:** Designers are using sculptural sink designs to make a functional household item into an object of beauty. - **Off-centered Faucet Installation:** Off-centered faucet installation is becoming more prevalent to allow running water to wash across more porcelain surfaces before reaching the drain. ### Where This Applies - **Home Design:** Home design companies could capitalize on the trend towards sculptural bathroom sinks as a way to add unique beauty to a household item. - **Plumbing Fixtures:** Plumbing fixtures companies could create new products that feature off-centered faucet installations to cater to this emerging trend. - **Porcelain Manufacturing:** Porcelain manufacturers could partner with designers to create unique off-centered designs for bathroom sinks to meet the demand for this trend. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Marble Slab Washbasins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-washbasin.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Water Flow-Inspired Kiln Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-collection.md) - [Playful Concrete Wash Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kast-wave-collection.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Illuminated Base Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-albumelux.md)
