Upon closer inspection, the low mid-divider becomes a dead giveaway for its true purpose. A dark and slightly menacing design, it sets the tone for the ensuing matches. Nevertheless, there is a whimsical vibe to Slice by Snarkitecture by way of its bottom portion. Resembling some kind of [topographical landscape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topographic-coffee-table), Slice by Snarkitecture definitely has a split personality. While the top is all business, the bottom is a sculptural party. Its sculptural nature is achieved through [differently shaped slices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vtna-table), hence its name. When not in use, the ping pong table becomes an art piece. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Topographical Table Designs:** Designing tables with unconventional shapes and forms that cater to both functional usage and aesthetic appeal creates opportunities for unique and conversation-starting pieces of furniture. - **Multi-functional Sports Equipment:** Creating sports equipment with more than one function gives athletes greater versatility and enables them to maximize their physical activity. - **Sculptural Furniture:** Designing furniture pieces with sculptural elements provides opportunities for adding artistic and avant-garde elements to functional living and recreational spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Incorporating unconventional design elements into furniture creates opportunities for artistic expression and unique products. - **Sports Equipment Manufacturing:** Creating sports equipment with aesthetic appeal in addition to functionality opens up opportunities for appealing to a wider range of consumers. - **Art and Design:** Incorporating sports equipment and recreational activities into art and design creates unique and intellectually stimulating pieces that blur the line between utility and art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artful Table Tennis Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nedj-ping-pong-tables.md) - [Luxury Transparent Game Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/effetto-71-ping-pong-table.md) - [Reflective Ping-Pong Parlour Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/match-point-installation.md) - [Fashion-Branded Ping Pong Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kith-for-wilson-ping-pong-table.md) - [Posh Pastel-Hued Game Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casablanca-ping-pong-table.md) - [Intersecting Two-Part Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shaolin-side-table.md) - [Offset Shelf Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crazy-slice-sideboard-concept.md) - [Playful Wavy Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-table-design.md) - [Fluid Topographic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-table.md)
