For [traveling musicians](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-midi-controller) who can't bear the thought forsaking their own drum set, it is a [minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-collection) that conveniently and easily deconstructs for long journeys. Designed by Polite Sleepers drummer Tim Wilson, the Sleeper Projects Drum Kit spawned a whole new passion and endeavor for him. Establishing a site for creating custom drums, he also specializes in photography and screen-printing services. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Minimalist Drum Kits:** The trend of minimalist drum kits allows traveling musicians to bring their own drum set with them on long journeys. - **Customizable Instruments:** The trend of customizable instruments opens up opportunities for musicians to create their own unique drum set designs. - **Multifunctional Musical Gear:** The trend of multifunctional musical gear enables musicians to have portable instruments that can be easily deconstructed for travel. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Music Equipment Manufacturing:** The music equipment manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend of creating minimalist drum kits and customizable instruments. - **Travel and Tourism:** The travel and tourism industry can offer services and products that cater to traveling musicians, such as specialized luggage for transporting drum kits. - **Creative Services:** The creative services industry can provide photography and screen-printing services for musicians, like Tim Wilson who specializes in these areas. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Movement-Tracking Air Drums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-drums.md) - [Packable Electroacoustic Travel Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travel-guitar.md) - [Pocket-Sized Travel Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matador-blackout-sleep-mask-earplugs.md) - [Vibrant Collaborative Luggage Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundwave-collection.md) - [Hybrid Travel Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taskin-swift.md) - [Collaboration Sonic Artwork Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/globetrotter-x-aston-martin.md) - [Travel-Focused Vacuum Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vacuum-kit.md) - [Closet-Equipped Luggage Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flightable-closet.md) - [Customized Luggage Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travelpro-and-dominic-ciambrone.md)
