Concrete never looked so good with these industrial-like slab structures used by Nobbs Radford Architects for this Sydney abode.

The use of concrete is common to achieve an [industrial effect](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glassbrick-apartment), and is often seen in loft apartments which have been transformed from working buildings to residential space. However, this architecture firm has managed to appropriate the [concrete slab structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-serra) from a loft-only look to one that encompasses this entire house. Sounds like a prison right? Think again. The inside is complemented with stunning wood and plenty of light, making this anything but a closed-off penitentiary. More importantly, the home is extremely durable, and can stand up to strong gusts of wind at any time of year.
