# Kid-Friendly Skateboard Wheels These Skater Trainers Help Beginners Learn Impressive Tricks By Charlotte Joyce Kidd | Published 2015-11-04 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skater-trainers References: [indiegogo](https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/landing-skateboard-tricks-just-got-easier) & [skatertrainer](http://www.skatertrainer.com/) These skater trainers make it easy for beginner skateboarders to learn eye-catching, advanced tricks. The concept behind the SkaterTrainer is incredibly simple and extremely effective. Normally, when a beginner skateboarder is trying to learn the tricks they see on [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allterrain-rollerblades) or at the skate park, they have to work to master the trick itself, all the while dealing with the slipping and rolling of the skateboard's wheels. These skater trainers keep the wheels stable while the learner completes the trick. It's essentially a piece of rubber netting that places stops around the skateboard's wheels. So, for example, when a beginner is learning to do that most classic of skateboard tricks, the Ollie, they can learn to land the jump without the board starting to roll when they reach the ground. It's perfect for kids, adults and anyone who's always wished they looked cooler on a board. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Beginner Skateboarding Accessories:** Skater trainers and other beginner skateboarding accessories are on the rise, providing innovative solutions for learners to master tricks without worrying about the stability of the wheels. - **Trick Training Tools:** Trick training tools like skater trainers are gaining popularity as they enable skateboarders to focus on mastering tricks rather than dealing with the rolling or slipping of the wheels. - **Enhancing the Learning Experience:** Products like skater trainers are enhancing the learning experience for beginners by providing stability and control, allowing them to progress more quickly in their skateboarding skills. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Skateboarding Equipment:** The skateboarding equipment industry can capitalize on the demand for beginner-friendly accessories like skater trainers, which provide stability and help to master advanced tricks more easily. - **Sports and Recreation:** The sports and recreation industry can explore the opportunity presented by beginner skateboarding accessories like skater trainers to cater to the growing interest in the sport and provide innovative solutions for beginners. - **Educational Toys and Tools:** The educational toys and tools industry can tap into the trend of skateboarding for beginners, offering products like skater trainers that promote physical activity and skill development in a fun and engaging way. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Two-Wheeled Surfing-Inspired Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surf-skateboard.md) - [Accessible First-Time Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redo-skateboards.md) - [App-Controlled Skates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appcontrolled-skates.md) - [Rugged All-Terrain Rollerblades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allterrain-rollerblades.md) - [Walking Assistance Roller Skates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-roller-skates.md) - [Mixed-Reality Skateboarding Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skatrix-pro.md) - [Backpack-Adhering Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-skateboard.md) - [Scooter-Style Pump Foil Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foil-scoot.md) - [Designer Kids Training Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Costway-Kids-Bike.md)
