The massive structure is located in Zocalo Suare in Mexico City. Titled 'Mirar -- Ways of Seeing' the [immersive life-sized camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nikons-vintage-popup-diner) allows guests to experience what it would be like to be inside a real camera obscura. The structure ushers guests into a dark room where an upside-down reflection of the landscape appears on the wall. The idea for this [giant installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychoacoustic-light-ensemble) is to present tourists and citizens with brand new perspectives of the same scenes. The structure is decorated with [brightly colored geometric shapes and patterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chroma-installation). The aesthetic design of the building is reflective of the Mexican culture and is sure to drawn in many curious passersby. There is also a single eyeball situated at the very top of the structure to metaphorically describe what it is. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 81% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Life-sized Camera Obscuras:** Opportunity for photographers and artists to create immersive and experiential installations that offer new perspectives on familiar scenes. - **Immersive Dark Rooms:** Potential for businesses to create immersive spaces that engage customers and provide unique experiences, blending art, technology, and design. - **Upside-down Reflections:** Disruptive innovation opportunities to use optical illusions and inverted imagery to create intriguing and thought-provoking installations or products. ### Where This Applies - **Photography and Art:** Innovative artists and photographers have the potential to create immersive installations that push the boundaries of traditional photography and art forms. - **Hospitality and Entertainment:** Hotels, resorts, and entertainment venues can capitalize on the trend of immersive dark rooms by incorporating them into their offerings, providing guests with unique experiences and memorable stays. - **Architectural Design:** Architects and designers can explore the use of oversized camera obscuras and upside-down reflections in their projects, adding a new dimension of creativity and visual interest to buildings and spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Colorful Art Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/david-hockney-bigger-closer.md) - [Hyper High-Resolution Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyper-highresolution-camera.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Interactive Architectural Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape.md) - [Remote Viewing Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telepresence-observation-pavilion.md) - [Multi-Lens Capture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-walker-multi-cam.md) - [Optical Illusion Replica Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liberty-science-center.md) - [Artistic Photography Instant Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moir-21-instant-film-camera.md) - [Imperfect Photography Celebrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nonnas-cam.md)
