# Sci-Fi Presentation Peripherals The Sith Series Laser Pointer Gets Some Star Wars Inspiration By Peter Vallas | Published 2011-05-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sith-series References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2011/05/06/sith-series-laser/) & [wickedlasers](http://www.wickedlasers.com/lasers/Sith_Series-112-63.html) The world of PowerPoint presentations just got a little more interesting with the Sith Series laser pointer by Wicker Lasers. This unique laser pointer is very different than the small red ones most people carry around on their keychains. The Sith Series laser looks like a [lightsaber](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pink-soldier-saber) straight out of a [Star Wars film](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ray-ban-star-wars), and it has the capability to perform almost as well as one too. Inside this rad device is a Class-4 [laser system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xr10-laser), which has the power to cause instant blindness when fired into someone's eyes and even ignite clothing and other flammable surfaces. What makes the Sith Series lighter even cooler is that you can split it in two for double the action and laser fun. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Sci-fi Presentation Devices:** Companies can create innovative presentation tools inspired by science fiction themes to cater to the growing demand for creative and engaging presentation experiences. - **Advanced Laser Pointers:** Businesses can explore the potential of advanced laser pointer technology for industrial and research applications, such as precision cutting, measurement and communication. - **Multi-purpose Gadgets:** There is a growing market opportunity for multi-purpose gadgets that serve both practical and entertainment purposes, leveraging consumer appeal of pop culture and innovation in technology. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology:** The technology industry can explore the potential of advanced laser pointer and presentation tools for commercial, industrial and personal applications. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can leverage the growing demand for pop culture-inspired gadgets and sci-fi presentation devices to create immersive experiences for customers. - **Consumer Goods:** Consumer goods companies can capitalize on the trend of multi-purpose gadgets by designing innovative products that cater to diverse consumer needs and preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Laser Sword Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seagate-lightsaber-collection-firecuda-ssd.md) - [Motion-Activated Sci-Fi Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hasbro-2.md) - [Tiny Animated Laser Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laserabc-laser-show-projector.md) - [Sci-Fi Film-Inspired Gaming Mouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/g502-x-plus-millennium-falcon-edition.md) - [Sci Fi-Inspired Desk Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightsaber-lego.md) - [Sci-Fi Gaming Mice](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/millennium-falcon-edition.md) - [Laser Technology Smoking Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-technology-smoking-device.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firecuda-external-hard-drives.md) - [Long-Range Laser Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumitwin-dl700.md)
