Bullying is a major problem in many schools around the world and the 'Sit With Us' app aims to ensure that kids always have a lunch buddy.

The app was conceived by Natalie Hampton, who herself used to be the victim of bullies and felt the need to do something about it. Whether it is verbal abuse and humiliation or physical threats and violence, bullying can have a major effect on children's self-esteem and safety. Sit With Us gives students the opportunity to [sign up as "ambassadors"](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peer-support-app) in order to post open lunch events in which any child without people to spend time with is able to join. The app provides both [discretion and dignity](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/introvrs-social-app) for children who are using it and prevents them from being the victim of taunts or physical harm.
