# Swiveling Wing Workstations Siri Desk Surrounds You with Adjustable Surfaces for a Dynamic Setup By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-01-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siri-desk References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Siri-Table/4499469) The rectangular tabletop doesn't actually make a great deal of ergonomic sense when you really think about it. Something like the Siri Desk does a much better job of letting you take advantage of the human body's ability to pivot and reach for objects laterally. Brazilian designer Dimitri Lociks might have begun with a quadrilateral concept before bringing in the unreachable back corners. On the other hand, the front corners were left broad and even were enhanced with the installation of an egg-shaped tray on each side. These two add-ons are able to rotate horizontally to tuck in closer to or farther from the sitter. These parts of the Siri Desk provide a place to rest your elbows or to position your computer mouse, your coffee or just about anything you'd like to have handy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: South America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Ergonomic Workstations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing workspaces that prioritize ergonomics and adaptability to optimize worker comfort and productivity. - **Modular Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing furniture systems that offer customizable and adaptable components to meet individual needs and preferences. - **Rotating Surfaces:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating surfaces that can rotate and adjust to accommodate different tasks and activities. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating ergonomic and modular design principles into furniture manufacturing processes. - **Workspace Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Redefining traditional workspace design by integrating adaptability and functionality to enhance worker well-being and productivity. - **Office Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing innovative office equipment, such as adjustable desks and rotating surfaces, to meet the evolving needs of modern work environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Working Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindset-builtin-computer-desk.md) - [Motorized Cable-Hiding Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steno-sitandstand-work-desk.md) - [Adaptable Mobile Professional Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airy-office-desk.md) - [Floor-Sit Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uppeal-desk-lshaped.md) - [Sleek Storage-Packed Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threesix-desk.md) - [Adjustable Modern Work Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spout.md) - [Hybrid Schedule Workstation Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanex-x3.md) - [Wirelessly Adjustable Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chakram-heightadjustable-standing-desk.md) - [Fold-Away Sleek Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-desk.md)
