From above, or just far enough away, it looks like a rectangular pie with a couple of slices cut out. The Sinus House's missing piece effect is also achieved by having the [cut out portions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kumagaya) painted in complete contrast to the rest of the exterior. The well designed interior of the Sinus House is a little more conventional but it still holds its own with the home's original exterior. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Pie-inspired Architecture:** The Sinus House's innovative design uses cut out pieces to mimic a pie, creating opportunities for unique and playful architecture. - **Contrasting Exterior Elements:** The use of contrasting colors and textures on the exterior of the Sinus House presents an opportunity for creating visually striking designs in architecture. - **Unconventional Interior Design:** The Sinus House's unconventional exterior design could inspire innovative interior design that plays with unconventional shapes and spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** The Sinus House's unique design elements could inspire architects to create more inventive designs that play with traditional building shapes and styles. - **Construction:** Constructing a building with unconventional shapes and cutouts like the Sinus House presents an opportunity for construction companies to showcase their innovative building techniques. - **Interior Design:** The unconventional architecture of the Sinus House provides opportunities for interior designers to create innovative and unconventional spaces within the home. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometric Structural Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-house.md) - [Kite-Shaped Reconfigured Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cake-house-1.md) - [Economical Modular Wooden Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cake-house.md) - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [Geometric Cave-Like Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cavelike-homes.md) - [Math Equation-Inspired Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-countless-windows.md) - [Minimalist Bookish Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimal-bookshelf.md) - [Faceted Cedar Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-house-on-a-hill.md) - [Sculptural Facade Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-facade-house.md)
