The lights illuminate the water and walkway with a bright white glow. Each of the pieces is spaced an exact distance apart to create a hypnotic effect as patrons of the event walk along the Singapore river. The 160 Installation is said to pay tribute to the Franco-Singaporean diplomacy and its future, with the seemingly never-ending squares of lights creating a path. The installation gets its name from the number of lights it includes, with 160 of the pieces spread along a space of 60 meters.
