It is home to an architectural photographer Bruce Damonte and an interior designer Alison Damonte. The house is found along the [hilly streets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pasadena-hillside-home) and rests between the Victorian homes. The couple is friends with Casper Mork-Ulnes, founder of the studio, and tapped him to help create a home that will seamlessly encourage their creative work flow. The team explains, "While replicating the roof forms, entry portal/stoop and massing of the Victorian homes, the new house also breaks from tradition with a black-painted facade and ribbon windows that visually connect the interior of the house to the neighbourhood. Tradition is reinterpreted here with a decidedly contemporary perspective, where formal research and construction techniques are integral to creating an original and innovative outcome that engages its surroundings while also prompting further inquiry."
