A simple yet ingenious innovation, it'll surely reduce the number of mindless accidents in the kitchen area. The Silicone Oven Shield attaches to [oven trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/large-wonder-oven) permanently, protecting brushing fingers or absent-minded individuals from [burning themselves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yumyum-real-baking-oven) needlessly. Available online for $10 per cover, it's definitely worth it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Kitchen Safety Innovations:** The trend of developing innovative kitchen safety accessories that protect against burns and other accidents. - **Silicone Kitchenware:** The trend of using silicone in the development of kitchenware products for their heat-resistant and non-stick properties. - **Smart Kitchen Devices:** The trend of incorporating IoT and other smart technologies to enhance safety in the kitchen. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchenware Manufacturing:** Companies in the kitchenware manufacturing industry can develop innovative products that are more user-friendly and safer. - **Home Appliance Manufacturing:** Companies in the home appliance manufacturing industry can develop smart kitchen devices that enhance safety and convenience for users. - **Consumer Goods Retail:** Retailers of consumer goods can offer a range of innovative kitchen safety products, such as silicone oven shields, to their customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cookware-Encapsulating Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/splatterdm.md) - [Revolutionary Splatter Guards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adjustable-stovetop-splatter-guard.md) - [Non-Stick Oven Baking Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oven-baking-mats.md) - [Pink-Forward Practical Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/practical-kitchen-tools.md) - [Shield-Style Fire Extinguishers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hussechuck-and-shield.md) - [Diaper-Specific Finger Shields](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/finger-shields.md) - [Circular Oven Mitts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circular-oven-mitts.md) - [Leather-Made Outdoor Oven Mitts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-peak-campers-mitten.md) - [Springy Safety-Focused Nutcrackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silicone-nutcracker.md)
