# Wall-Integrated Wash Basins The Silence Sink by Antonio Lupi is Seamlessly Futuristic By Meghan Young | Published 2013-02-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silence-sink References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/006575.html) & [antoniolupi.it](http://www.antoniolupi.it/index_eng.php) The Silence Sink blends seamlessly into the wall for a reason. It is literally part of it. It is as though someone slit the surface and tugged at the bottom like it were someone's lower lip, the Silence Sink protrudes out smoothly. In fact, it looks like an upgraded version of the [Strappo Sink](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strappo-sink), which happens to be designed by the same person. Created by Antonio Lupi, the Silence Sink is strikingly stylish. Made out of Corian, it is masterfully matched to the wall using paint to make it appear as though it was always part of the original design. Complete with integrated blue lighting, the Silence Sink is given a very futuristic finish. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wall-integrated Fixtures:** Opportunity for design innovations that blend household fixtures and appliances seamlessly into the wall. - **Smart Lighting:** Opportunity to incorporate lighting technology into household fixtures for added functionality and visual appeal. - **Sustainable Materials:** Opportunity to use eco-friendly materials for household fixtures without compromising style and design. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Opportunity to create innovative and futuristic designs for household fixtures that blend seamlessly into the wall. - **Home Appliances:** Opportunity to incorporate smart lighting technology into household fixtures and appliances for added functionality and aesthetics. - **Eco-friendly Products:** Opportunity to use sustainable materials for household fixtures to address consumers' increasing environmental concerns without sacrificing style and design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Marble Slab Washbasins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-washbasin.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Elegant Kitchen Sink Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-sink-system.md) - [Reinventive Modern Kitchen Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen.md)
