# Quiet Landscape Photography The Silence Series by Claire Droppert Captures Tranquility By Meghan Young | Published 2014-04-02 | Fashion Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silence-series-by-claire-droppert References: [behance.net](https://www.behance.net/gallery/Silence-series/5056673) & [claireonline.nl](http://www.claireonline.nl) There are some landscapes that take people's breaths away for the sole reason of how still and tranquil they are; for those who have not experienced this reaction first hand, browsing through the Silence Series by Claire Droppert, a photographer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, will give them a semblance of such a feeling. Shot by the same person who gave life to [clouds of sand](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gravity-sand-creatures), this series is a bit less animated, but just as captivating. The Silence Series by Claire Droppert captures everything from [snow, sand and water](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/borealis-series). In addition to an [absence of sound](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silent-doorbell), there is something else. She writes, "It gives the idea of being somewhere where there is a constant, exciting possibility that there has never been human intervention before." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/fashion) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/stylephotography) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Quiet Landscape Photography:** Opportunity for photographers to capture still and tranquil landscapes that evoke a sense of tranquility and serenity. - **Tranquility in Nature:** Growing interest in landscape photography that captures the silence and beauty of untouched natural settings. - **Emotional Connection Through Silence:** Recognition of the power of silent landscapes in evoking emotional responses and conveying a sense of serenity and peace. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Photography:** Photography industry can align with the trend for quiet landscape photography by offering specialized workshops or equipment catering to capturing still and tranquil scenes. - **Tourism:** Tourism industry can tap into the desire for tranquility in nature by promoting destinations that offer peaceful and silent landscapes for visitors seeking tranquility and serenity. - **Home Decor:** Home decor industry can incorporate quiet landscape photography as wall art, offering consumers a way to bring a sense of tranquility and calmness into their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Photography Project Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1.md) - [Chalk Streams Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/british-conceptual-landscape-photographer.md) - [Expansive Nature Recording Catalogues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inner-vision-pro.md) - [Immersive Slow TV Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slow-tv-series.md) - [Interactive Quiet-Locating Maps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quiet-places-finder.md) - [Tranquil Courtyard Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sanctum-house.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md) - [Mesmerizing Fluid Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-fountain.md)
