The Daniel Naude Sightings of the Sacred collection documents the work of the photographer over the past two years. It was during this time period that the artist focused on cattle and more specifically, the idea that the livestock are sacred amongst communities in Uganda, Madagascar and India.

Central to these Naude images are the differing perspectives on animals existent between Western and Eastern cultures. In the countries Naude visited, cattle are considered venerated, spiritual beings. In Western societies, they are commonly seen as sources of milk and meat.

Currently, Sightings of the Sacred is being displayed at Cape Town's Stevenson Gallery. Those interested can also visit his [Facebook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/facebook-verified) page for snapshots of the horns, herds, hooves and spotted skins.
