Up on Daria’s blog is an easy to follow how-to if you’d like to add these athletic lights to your [outdoor decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merry-sparkles-outdoor-decor). To make this illuminating garland for your porch or deck, begin by collecting several shuttlecocks. While most shuttlecocks come in a white or neon yellow color scheme, feel free to change things up by painting the shuttlecocks in fun and bold colors. The mesh material will create a transparent shade for the soft glowing lights. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Upcycling:** Opportunity for businesses to repurpose and transform existing materials into innovative products. - **DIY Decor:** Potential for businesses to tap into the growing market of consumers who enjoy creating their own unique decorations. - **Outdoor Lighting:** Emerging trend in outdoor decor where unique and unconventional lighting options are being explored. ### Who This Affects Most - **Sustainability:** Opportunity for businesses in the sustainability industry to promote upcycled products and eco-friendly practices. - **Craft and Hobby:** Potential for businesses in the craft and hobby industry to provide DIY kits and materials for creative projects. - **Home and Garden:** Growing market for unique and stylish outdoor lighting options, presenting opportunities for businesses in the home and garden industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sporty Wall-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-lamp-1.md) - [Mosquito-Repelling Outdoor String Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-string-lights.md) - [Off-Grid Campsite String Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biolite-solar-string-lights.md) - [Connected Exterior String Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/govee-outdoor-string-lights-2.md) - [Solar-Powered Smart String Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/govee-outdoor-solar-string-lights.md) - [LED-Equipped Nighttime Baseballs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightup-baseball.md) - [Floating LED Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poof-light.md) - [Illuminated Flying Discs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/active-led-flying-disc.md) - [Light-Oriented Outdoor Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/govee1.md)
